It’s President Bush’s Birthday (41 is 93 Today)

(Kennebunkport, Maine) - Family and friends will gather today at the Bush Family compound in Maine to celebrate the 93rd birthday of Former President George H. W. Bush.

I had the opportunity to speak with the President several times when he was Vice-President and as a candidate for President.

In fact, in perhaps the biggest faux pas of my career, I completely spaced out and missed a scheduled luncheon with Bush and several other reporters who were invited to the Walkers Point compound in Kennebunkport during the campaign.

I mentioned this to his son, President George W. Bush during one of his campaign stops in the area and suggested a possible "rain check". No luck on that one.

The former President celebrates his 93rd birthday just days after former First Lady Barbara Bush celebrated her 92nd birthday on June 8th.

By the way, today is also the birthday of former NH Congressman Bill Zeliff, my good friend Mark Miller and my son, Zack.
