‘Scary Movie’ Actor and Haunted Museum Coming to the Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention

The Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention is returning for its second year.

The scare-themed event aims to top last year's thrills, featuring a variety of horror movie actors, over 160 vendors, and a haunted museum.

Afraid? Excited? Both? What's that thing Ghostface says? "What's your favorite scary movie?"

What Is the Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention?

As the name suggests, the Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention is all about the spooky, strange, and downright terrifying.

The weekend event features over 12 celebrity guests, including "Scary Movie" actor Dave Sheridan, who plays Doofy in both the first and latest movie in the series; Bill Moseley from "The Devil's Rejects;" and Felissa Rose from "Sleepaway Camp."

Its website also highlights that there will be 160 vendors, panels, and workshops, allowing people to "explore everything from paranormal investigations and haunted history to horror film culture and cryptid lore."

There will also be a haunted museum from The Radikals. They shared on their Facebook page some of the objects coming to the event that you can check out, including a phone used to talk to the dead and authentic items from Lizzie Borden's estate.

When Is the Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention in 2026?

The Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention, which debuted in 2025, is back for the weekend of September 12 and 13, 2026.

For both Saturday and Sunday, doors open for VIP at 9 a.m., and general admission opens at 10 a.m.

Where Is the Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention in 2026?

The Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention takes place this year at the Augusta Civic Center at 76 Community Drive in Augusta, Maine.

This is the same location as where the event was last year.
