Watch Secret Santa Hand Out $5,000 to People in Lewiston

It's an honor to get to hang with such a generous soul.

Secret Santa has been handing out $100 during the holidays for over 15 years in the greater Portland area. And no, don't ask, I have no idea who this guy is. His anonymity is very important to him. It's what makes this so selfless. He's not in it for the fame. He's in it for the feels. And it's very, very important to him that people keep that good feeling going. It's working.

We have had the honor of helping Secret Santa keep his mission going, even though he's retired and living in Florida. For the past 10 years, I have been hitting the streets and handing out envelopes with a note inside explaining the 100 bucks.

But this year, Secret Santa left his happy Florida workshop to help out Lewiston. You don't even have to be a current Maine resident to have been moved by the shooting in October. He normally gives out $5,000 for the season. This year, he doubled it and dedicated $5,000 JUST for Lewiston. And he, Secret Santa himself, handed out all the money! From laughs to tears, come along as we hit about six different places and hand 50 people $100.

I am so beyond blessed to have been touched by this generosity today. Santa looked compassionately into my eyes at the Dollar Tree in Lewiston and offered me a hug after giving me a Secret Santa envelope. The beautiful hug moment from this woman brought me to tears as it reminded me of a hug from my mom, that passed 1 year ago as of December 14th. That hug felt sent from above and I will be so grateful to pay it forward with the $100. There were happy tears spread all throughout the store, such a magical once-in-a-lifetime moment.
