Man Arrested For Portsmouth Armed Robbery
(Portsmouth, NH) - Portsmouth Police have made an arrest in connection with a holdup in December at the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
58 year old George Laurie of Court Street in Portsmouth was arrested on a warrant for Armed Robbery.
Officials say that on the night of December 18th of last year, two employees has just closed the Salvation Army store on Lafayette Road when they were approached in the parking lot by a white male wearing a ski mask and pointing a handgun at them.
The bandit demanded the money bag from the store and fled the area.
Based on their investigation, officials charged Laurie with the Class A Felony. He is being held without bail pending a court appearance.
