Retirement seems like it's getting further and further away, and if my 401k has anything to say about it, I'll be working until I'm about 103!

If you're in better shape than I am financially, and are looking at places to retire, look no further than Manchester, NH!

Yes, you heard that right.  Manchester, NH made the list of Best Places To Retire from U.S. News and World Report!

According to CBS Boston the report says the  “rolling mountain ranges and verdant forests” surrounding Manchester, and the “young and vibrant” vibe generated by the college community is one of the reasons Manchester came in 14th in the country.

Portland, ME also made the list at #33, but Manchester was the only New England town that made the Top 20!  I'm not sure how you could retire in Portland without winning the MegaMillions!

According to US News and World Report, the criteria for making the list included how expensive it was to own a house, affordability in general, happiness, desirability, retiree taxes, the job market and access to quality health care

The survey was completed by people age 45 and older throughout the country.  Not surprisingly the top 4 out of 5 best retirement places all were Florida!
