More Bad News for Macy’s Employees and Customers

It looks like the retail giant is planning to close 100 stores. 

The largest department store in the United States announced its plans to shut down approximately 100 stores by early 2017. This, after it was announced earlier this year the chain would shutter some 40 locations. (New Hampshire was spared but two stores closed in Massachusetts)

The announcement of the forthcoming closures come as Macy’s reported second-quarter profits and sales fell. Executives have not yet announced which stores in the latest round of shutdowns will be closed.

Below are the Macy’s locations in New Hampshire:

Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester
Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua
Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem
and…Mall at Rox Run in Newington

Macy’s also operates Bloomindales.
