Why did someone dump meat beside roads throughout Epping last weekend?

According to the Union Leader, police are investigating why packages of drumsticks, steaks, pork chops and other assorted meats were left by the side of several roads throughout the town. One package reportedly had a label attached and they are following up with the store in question (the name of which was not disclosed).

The roads in question include Route 87, Old Nottingham Road, Red Oak Hill and Rocky Lane. Upwards of 40 packages of meat were discarded. Anyone with information should call the Epping Police Department at 603-679-5122.

Speculation is that school lunches in the area will be pizza this week.
