Netflix is Filming a New Movie in Massachusetts and They Need You
If being a movie star is on your bucket list, now is your chance. Okay, maybe not a star, but a chance to be in a film which is sort of the same thing.
According to masslive.com, Netflix is filming a new movie in Massachusetts.
Usually, with these things they do an open casting call at a particular location but with the pandemic happening, this casting call will look a lot different.
Judith Bouley, who has cast some pretty impressive films like "Master and Commander," "Road to Perdition," and "Cast Away" has made a post on her website seeking background actors, the article stated.
Most recently she cast actors for the Adam Sandler movie "Hubie Halloween" which was set in Salem, Mass, and is scheduled to be released October 7, according to Masslive.com.
This casting call will be held by Zoom because of the pandemic. I guess everything is by Zoom these days. The Judith Bouley Casting website announcement says they are looking for people of all ages, sizes, and ethnicities to be paid background actors.
There were no details about what type of film it is to be, but shooting will start in mid-November.
According to reporting from masslive.com, Bouley told CBS Boston that “Instead of having an open casting call, like we did last summer at Marblehead High School, this time I’m going to interview by Zoom.” You just need a group photograph or individual photograph to submit with your application.
Sounds like a fun thing to try. I’ve never been in a movie but I would like to add it to my list of things I’ve done.
