According to an article from U.S. News and World Report, Boston came in at the top of the list for Best Summer Vacations in the U.S.A.

New Hampshire didn't make the Top 20, but Portland, Maine, Bar Harbor, Maine and Cape Cod, Massachusetts made the cut!

Boston, Massachusetts - The reports says Boston appeals to travelers of all types come summertime, with average temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Fenway Park welcomes baseball lovers, the Freedom Trail invites history buffs to a scavenger hunt of historic sites and Little Italy and Faneuil Hall Marketplace beckon to foodies. Visitors can also check out numerous breweries or plan their vacation around one of several festivals held over the summer.

Portland, Maine came in at no. 6 on the Top 20 list. U.S. News and World Report describes Portland as a quaint, coastal city where you can take a leisurely walk through the Old Port neighborhood – which features cobblestone streets, dining spots and charming boutiques.

Bar Harbor, Maine landed the no. 8 spot on the list. Described as a tranquil paradise praised for its coastal beauty.

Cape Cod just missed the top 10 finishing in the no. 11 spot. The article says Cape Cod charms visitors with colorful clam shacks, cozy cottages, swanky resorts and its beautiful 40-mile stretch of shoreline.
