He is the best selling album artist in the modern age of music, even outselling The Beatles. He has six albums that achieved "diamond" status of over 10 million sales. And personally for me, if I had a dollar for every Garth Brooks song I ever played on WOKQ, I would be on my own private island somewhere. All country radio stations owe Garth Brooks a debt of gratitude for what he did for country music's popularity. And now at the end of the month, Garth Brooks will officially, completely come out of retirement with a new single, album and tour for the first time since 2001.
