New Hampshire Restaurant Taking Care Of Staff
So many businesses have been hit hard by the crisis going on right now with Coronavirus. The restaurant industry is no exception.
It was just a few weeks ago (why does it seem so much longer?) that Governor Chris Sununu called on New Hampshire restaurants and bars to close down except for take-out, delivery or drive-through services in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, according to WMUR 9.
It's been difficult time for employers and employees alike. That's why it was a great relief to the staff at Smuttynose Brewing in Hampton, NH that the company was going to continue to offer full pay for as long as they can. Smuttynose Director of Hospitality Andrew Hart tells Fosters.com that it was an important decision and the company is in a fortunate position where they can afford to take care of their people.
According to Fosters, Hart said “If you don’t have the right people, you don’t have the right business. Everybody is important here and we wanted to make sure they were taken care of.”
