Its been an amazing year for New Hampshire native and local Spaulding High School graduate Kyle Tanguay. Recently, Tanguay had been selected as the first male Philadelphia Eagle Cheerleader and what a nice kid, he came by the studio here to teach me some cheer moves. Just a kid from Rochester New Hampshire and he is on his way to Hollywood with American Idol! He wowed the Judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luck Bryan. His performance of “Mercy” by Shawn Mendes left me with chills.

We all know Kyle Tanguay can dance but without ever having a professional singing lesson, he’s moving up in the American Idol competition. According to reporting from pennlive.com, Richie was especially impressed because Richie himself was also self-taught before launching his legendary career with the Commodores.

One of the best parts of the night was learning that Kyle brought the entire cheerleading squad with him to auditions. Pennlive.com quotes Tanguay as saying “That team is my family. They’re definitely my sisters – my ride or dies.” I’ve got to get him back on our show to see if he can teach me to sing. GO KYLE!
