No Drones Allowed at Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular!
If you're planning on heading into Boston to see either the July 3rd or July 4th 'Pops' concert, make sure your drone stays home!
Along with other security measures, Massachusetts State Police issued this statement:
- It will be illegal to operate any unmanned aircraft (Drones, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Unmanned Aircraft Systems) in and around the Boston Esplanade during July 3 and 4. Anyone operating one would be doing so illegally and could face Federal or State charges.
The lineup of performers who will joining Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops has been announced by WBZ-TV.
The Boston Pops and Keith Lockhart (who will be celebrating his 20th anniversary as conductor) will be joined by Michael Cavanaugh, Melinda Doolittle, Sons of Serendip, the Boston Crusaders, Michelle Brooks Thompson and the USO Show Troupe.
The Spectacular will be televised on WBZ-TV from 8 p.m.-11 p.m. WBZ-TV also says the 104th Fighter Wing of the Mass National Guard will perform a flyover during the 'Star Spangled Banner.'
