Each day, thousands of New Hampshire residents watch each meal go by with nothing on their plate. Thanks to the NH Food Bank, there's something we can do to replace that nothing with something. Introducing, the 'Nothing Campaign'.

What is the 'Nothing Campaign'?

The 'Nothing Campaign' began on March 3. The New Hampshire Food Bank started selling cans of Nothing at grocery stores throughout the state. These cans are literally filled with nothing; a concept designed to represent the issue of "going hungry" that New Hampshire families everywhere are experiencing.

Each empty can, or Nothing Can, reminds us of the reality of emptiness on dinner plates everywhere across the state. Each can purchased and returned to the NH Food Bank with a donation could replace that emptiness with close to 60 meals.

On March 5, Governor Hassan helped the campaign kick off with an event at the Harvest Market in Bedford, NH. The campaign runs until April 11, 2014 with all proceeds benefiting NH Food Bank.

Where Can I Buy a 'Nothing' Can?

The Nothing Cans are $5.00 and can be purchased at participating Hannaford, Harvest Market, Jiffy Mart, Market Basket, and Shaw's locations statewide. Nothing Cans are also available at Vista in Laconia, and Sully's in Goffstown. Go to www.nothing.org/nh for a list of locations nearest you.

Take Part in 'Show Us Your Nothing Can'!

To have some fun with the campaign, New Hampshire Food Bank is asking people to take a selfie with your Nothing Can and post it to your Facebook or Twitter page using the hashtag #NothingNH
