Old Friends Sit Atop the Country Album Chart

The former lead singer of a pioneering country and classic rock band from back in the 1970's and country music royalty lead the country album charts this morning.

Eagles lead singer Don Henley has the first number one album of his solo career with Cass County in its debut week. He had not released and album since 2000. Cass County references the area in Texas where Henley grew up.

George Strait's latest, Cold Beer Conversation, takes the number two spot.  And Thomas Rhett's Tangled Up placed third. The album chart is published by the radio and record industry website Country Aircheck.
