New Hampshire Restaurant Provides Food to Displaced Residents in Raymond Apartment Fire
Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery in Raymond sprung into action and is providing food for individuals affected by the three-alarm fire that tore through a nearby apartment complex early Monday morning.
Sean Miller, a manager at the restaurant, told Seacoast Current that the staff "put everything on hold" after hearing about the fire at Sunview Apartments in Raymond.
"When we found out about it we said 'all hands on deck,'" Miller said when reached by phone Monday. "We put all of our prep aside and everything we had going on. The entire staff dropped everything we were doing and said we were going to do something for these guys. We started cooking from then on."

The Tuckaway staff brought tables and numerous containers of food and drink — offerings like egg sandwiches, pasta salads, coffee, water and other items — to outside the apartment complex, which was still an active scene at the time of publication.
Miller said his staff had to trudge through four feet of snow, slush and water to stage their food relief stand.
"That's what I love about this staff," Miller said. "We were walking through four inches of water to get over there. We put everything out on the table."
Some members of the staff are now headed with food and supplies to Raymond High School, Miller said, where some displaced residents are being sheltered from the cold temperatures.
The structure that was found engulfed in flames was a three-story, 24-unit apartment building.
