Dover Main Street is hosting Restaurant Week starting on July 11, but this year will be a little different than it was pre-Covid.

According to the organization's Restaurant Week website, they will be running an alternative social-media-based format to help local restaurants gain traction.

The event will run through July 25.

"Our local restaurants are struggling with staff shortages, increased food costs, and gaining the confidence of consumers to dine out once again," leaders of the organization wrote.

They are encouraging community members to support local restaurants throughout Restaurant Week by dining out or getting takeout.

There will also be opportunities to engage with their social media posts, and they suggest encouraging friends to participate.

Gift cards and restaurant loot will be raffled off, according to the website.

Dover Main Street also runs the Adopt-A-Spot program and Dover Dollars. There are a number of ways people can get involved with the organization.
