Rochester Domestic Assault Suspect Arrested

(Rochester, NH) - A man wanted for a domestic disturbance in Rochester last Thursday has been taken into custody.

Michael W. Lovely, 33, was arrested by Barrington and Rochester police and the U.S. Marshals Service Wednesday afternoon after he was located at a residence on Long Shore Drive in Barrington.

Lovely faces charges of second degree assault, simple assault, criminal mischief and criminal threatening as a result of the alleged incident on Aug. 6.

Police had responded to a domestic incident at a home on Washington Street in Rochester and removed a woman and child. The Strafford County Regional Tactical Operations Unit surrounded the building believing Lovely was still inside and was possibly a threat to officers.  It was later determined that Lovely has fled the scene.
