Here's what Lupita Low had to say about Don...

I would like to see Mr. Bohnwagner (Mr. B lovingly called by the Scouts past and present) recognized for the Salute to Seniors Program. Don has put in 45 years into scouting and is still going. He now has his two grandsons in his Troop 409 of Salem, NH.
He makes it fun for the boys camping trips, hikes etc. He asks for no recognition, but I am not the only one that would like to see him get something well deserved.
Boys have gone on to receive their Eagle Scout Badge. My son being one of those.
In 1993 I found out I had a brain cyst, and Mr B. did everything in his power to see that our son was able to complete what he needed to become an Eagle Scout, like writing letters, taking us shopping for what was needed, etc.
We are grateful to Mr. Bohnwagner. On Mother's Day 1993, our son became an Eagle Scout, and then, with my permission, he explained why everything was rushed. Not a dry eye after.
Two days later I had surgery, and thank God all went well.
But With Don's help, it was one less thing for us to worry about.

Nominate a special senior in your life to tell their story. They can be a relative, friend, neighbor or someone else you know. You can even nominate yourself. The featured senior will receive a $50 gift card to use at an area mall, and a one year subscription to American Senior magazine. They’ll also be invited to a luncheon here at Townsquare Media, honoring all of the seniors we’re saluting.
