Space Craft IPA
It's safe to say you've never had a beer like this, with hops that have traveled out of this world and back again.
Last month, Elon Musk's SpaceX Inspiration4 was the first all-civilian crew that ventured into outer space. Along with these civilian space travelers were 66 pounds of Citra and Mosiac hops.
Fox Business reports that these hops were auctioned off for charity. Sam Adams offered up a $100,000 donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The ultimate goal from Inspiration4 was to raise $200M, and as of the time of publishing, $239,277,245 has been raised.
The Samuel Adams website describes the flavor as highlighting the star of the show, the hops. The brew has a firm bitterness, with notes of grapefruit, guava, and passionfruit along with piney and resiny aromas.
