After six seasons of playing soccer at Portsmouth High School, the Seacoast Phantoms of the Premiere Development League are packing up and moving to Amesbury, MA.

According to fosters.com, Seacoast United executive director Paul Willis, the Phantoms would have loved staying in Portsmouth, but it boils down to cutting costs. On top of paying annual rent, the team was paying the city of Portsmouth for the turf field at PHS.

The teams new season opens on May 5. Their first home game is against the Western Mass. Pioneers on May 13.
