(Somersworth,NH) – 5 people face drug charges after a sweep by Somersworth Police Wednesday.  36 year old Keith Judd, 23 year old James Lavoie, 24 year old Rachel Bisco, 25 year old Corissa Bisco and 27 year old Derek Nason are charged with possession of heroin. Police seized 31 grams of heroin, some marijuana and $8-thousand in cash during the arrests.

 

NEWPORT,N.H.(AP) - A Vermont man accused in his wife's killing in New Hampshire faces arraignment and a bail hearing in the case this morning. James Robarge allegedly killed Kelly Robarge ofCharlestown last June on the same day she filed for divorce, with her body found in a wooded area of Unity.

 

(Jefferson,NH) – Two people were injured when a car struck a moose in Jefferson last night.  State Police say 48 year old Maureen Couture of Jefferson was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after the accident just after 7pm on Route 116.

A passenger in the car, 49 year old Russ Hawkins of Jefferson, was treated and released. Couture is facing a charge of Driving Under the Influence as a result of the accident.

 

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie plans to speak publicly this morning about revelations his administration may have closed highway lanes to exact political retribution against the mayor of Fort Lee. The governor will answer questions during a news conference at the Statehouse. He's already issued a statement saying he was "outraged and deeply saddened" by the revelations.

 

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - A state survey suggests fewer students in Maine are smoking or drinking, but it also finds many are struggling with depression. State education officials say the survey of fifth through 12th graders found more than 14 percent of high schoolers and nearly 17 percent of middle schoolers admitted they've considered suicide.

 

BOSTON(AP) - A sizeable chunk of every dollar spent on health care inMassachusettsis wasted money, according to a new report. The assessment by the Health Policy Commission says the waste amounts to nearly $4 out of every $10 spent, totaling nearly $27 billion.
