State Rep Kyle Tasker Has Resigned (Finally!)
Am I the only who thought it was crazy that this guy went as long as he did without resigning?
State Rep. Kyle Tasker (R-Nottingham) has finally resigned nearly a week after his arrest for allegedly trying to lure a teenage girl into a sexual encounter and additional drug charges.
According to WMUR when the authorities searched his home they also discovered marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms and prescription pills- some of which were bagged and ready for sale.
This afternoon, he resigned via a short written letter to the house......
Dear Speaker Jasper: I am writing to resign my seat as a representative from Rockingham District 2," Tasker wrote in the letter. "I appreciate all your courtesy during the time I served in the people's Legislature.
Sincerely, Kyle Tasker.
Appartently the letter was welcomed with a few claps before Speaker Jasper asked the house not to show any emotion regarding the letter. I don't know about you, but if I were there I would've applauded too.
It's just another story of a politician who thought they were above the law. The drugs that were found are bad enough, but allegedly luring a 14 year old is unacceptable. It's astounding to me that this guy took this long to resign. Does he think he has a shot at a future in politics?
As for his now vacated seat, Rockingham District 2 will be without representation until a special election is held, date to be determined.
