The Black Heritage Trail Of NH Has Purchased A Visitors Center And Headquarters Building In Portsmouth

(Portsmouth, NH) - The building at 222 Court Street overlooks the North Cemetery, where many of Portsmouth's first Black residents were buried in the 18th century.

Executive Director JerriAnne Boggis and Board President Rev. Robert Thompson enter the new building after the sale was finalized Tuesday.

Attorney Jack McGee sold the building to the BHTNH, which plans to open the interpretive and visitors center by the end of the year.
