There Have Been 2 Flu Deaths in NH This Season; How to Protect Yourself
It's flu season, and it's a thing.
My daughter has been down for over a week with the flu, and I think she's finally on the uptick. Fingers crossed!
She still feels bad but not like a few days ago, and it was finals week this week for her. Poor thing was all stressed out about that.
Thankfully, she should be better soon.
But unfortunately, the flu is a serious deal, as WMUR reported that we are at two deaths for the season now in New Hampshire.
Officials state that the flu is "most contagious in the first 24 to 48 hours of infection, often before people realize they have it," the news station reported.
Wash your hands and cover coughs!
The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services listed some TIPS to stop the spread of it:
- Avoiding contact with sick people.
- Avoiding touching your face.
- Covering your coughs and sneezes.
- Washing your hands often with soap and water.
- Staying home when sick.
- Taking an antiviral drug if prescribed by your doctor.
