As a former smoker myself I'm happy to see this in place.

It's a good thing to hear.  The House of Representatives in Vermont have begun the process of raising the smoking age in the state to 21.

The preliminary approval was passed by a 81-61 vote.  Keep in mind that this is only the first step of many for such a thing to come to fruition.  There would still be special permission that would need to be granted by the senate.

Such a law is still several years away.

Hopefully more states move in this direction.  One of my only regrets in life was ever picking up smoking in the first place.
