White Is The New Black Pepper

This is how kitchen illiterate I am.  I just found out last month, there is such a thing as "White Pepper!" While out with my family at a Chinese Food restaurant we often frequent, I finally decided to ask the others at the table where to find "the Chinese Pepper."  My father, brother and sister-in-law looked at me with an um...not so surprised look on their faces.  I told them I had been looking in every grocery store for 'Chinese Pepper,' but couldn't find it.  That's when through laughter, they told me it was "White Pepper!"  Who knew!  I'm so addicted to the stuff, that I ran out the next day and stocked up.  I don't even use black pepper anymore. So, in case you haven't heard of 'White Pepper' give it a try, but just don't ask the 'Trader Joe's' employee for the "Chinese Pepper."
