I truly, honestly, 100% genuinely hope that you don't need to read this. That you already know and you don't need me to tell you.

If you don't know, can't recognize it, or just don't feel it, then let this be your rude awakening -- maybe harsh, but full of love reminder from a good place.

But first, an observation.

Viral AI Picture App

Every now and then, we'll see some quick, cool trend where you enter pictures of yourself into an app, it spits out some sort of picture of you either with different themes or in different settings, and we all post them to social media.

Usually, shortly after, we're told somehow by doing that, the Russians now have all of our personal information, they're going to hack us, and we just ruined humanity.

But damn do those pictures looking like a superhero or a Star Wars character look incredible, right?

Remini AI Photo Enhancer

In all seriousness, within the last few days, I've seen a couple of my friends post pictures they used the Remini AI Photo Enhancer to generate some AI pictures of themselves. And honestly, their reactions stood out to me.

That's my friend Jordan above, who was the first person I noticed who used the Remini AI Photo Enhancer to generate a couple of pictures of herself. After mentioning to her I was going to write this article, she sent me the original pictures she used to get the AI-generated ones from the Remini app.

Shortly after seeing Jordan's pictures, I came across another friend, Jaime, who posted her AI picture to her Instagram story, made it her profile picture, and made a reference (and I don't remember what she said verbatim) that I remember as making it sound like her AI version was flawless.

And like Jordan, when I mentioned to Jaime I was writing this article, she offered up the original picture she used to get her AI-generated one.

And honestly, after seeing both of their comments of having their mind blown or wishing they looked more like/could do the AI version of their picture justice, I told them the same thing. The same thing that I'm going to tell you right now if you've done the same thing with generating AI pictures and had the same thoughts after seeing the results.

Something similar to what I actually posted on Twitter (and Threads...hi, Zuck!) that was inspired by their posts.

Look. There's no denying. The technology is incredible. It's impressive. But that said (and like I said in the above Tweet).

OG > AI.

Jordan and Jaime are both beautiful, gorgeous women. You, if you're reading this and had the same reaction they did to their AI pictures, are also beautiful and gorgeous.

Yes, the technology is impressive. Yes, the pictures look good. But make NO mistake.

The AI version of them and the AI version of you? Those AI versions don't even come remotely close to the actual human those versions come from.

Don't ever forget that.
