Well, one ice cream place (actually four ice cream places) is offering exactly what you want: MORE ice cream.

Where is the Biggest Ice Cream Scoop in New England?

The obvious answer is Hodgies.

When I was a kid, growing up in Merrimac, MA, we always wanted to go to Hodgies for their enormous servings.

It is a place where you cannot order a small...it will be too big. When you hear people ordering a small or a large, the locals know they are about to receive enough ice cream to serve two or three fully grown adults.

Let me put it this way, the "small" at Hodgies is actually an XL pretty much everywhere else. And it is worth noting that Hodgies' small is the second largest size (only behind the large).

Hodgies offers a "kiddie" which is more like a medium everywhere else and a "one scoop" which has approximately 3 scoops and is more like a "small." The catch phrase, located on all of their merch, is "that's a kiddie?!" Because of how big it is.

Their sizes were so big that they HAD to add another tier - a Hodgie Cup, which is more like a traditional small.

Where is Hodgies Ice Cream:

The original Hodies is in Amesbury, Massachusetts, and they have been serving up massive ice cream servings since 1984.

There are a few sister locations, known as Hodgies Too, located in Newburyport and Salisbury, MA and a Stratham, NH location too.
