Don’t Miss Out on Free Fishing Day in New Hampshire Happening Saturday
Don't miss out on NH's Free Fishing Day this Saturday June 5th. Whether you haven't fished in years, or never even have dropped a line, this event is perfect for anyone, even out of staters!
You can fish anywhere in New Hampshire — freshwater or saltwater — without a fishing license.
Both state residents and nonresidents may participate. All other fishing regulations apply and must be followed, including season dates and bag limits.

I knew that this day existed for quite some time but I'm almost ashamed to admit I never realized how truly free it was.
There are 18 miles of saltwater coastline that I had no clue were in play!
The only regulations that exist on Saturday have to do with the different species and total amount of fish you're allowed to catch. A good rule of thumb is just to catch and release any way, that's the best way to keep it real in the creel!
I have fished primarily on lakes, ponds and rivers my entire life and if I ever caught anything worth eating, I think I still threw it back. So, this would be a perfect day for me to rescue my 1975 Zebco from the attic of the garage and drop that bobber.
NH Fish And Game has an advisory that you are likely to encounter more crowds at the local fishing hole this Saturday, but I think that's just par for the course.
No fishing license? Never fished before? Not a resident? No problem!
