Former Patriot Rob Gronkowski to Begin Wrestling with WWE
Looks like retirement is anything but boring for former New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski. According to the wrap.com, the Gronk just signed a deal with WWE and will make his debut on March 20 in an episode of “SmackDown.” The Gronk already is working as a sports analyst for Fox Sports reporting on the NFL.
WWE has employed other former NFL players in the past such as William “the Refrigerator” Perry and Lawrence Taylor who was a former NFL MVP. Lawrence Taylor was the main event at Wrestlemania II in 1986. Given Gronk’s shenanigans at the New Years Eve Live with Steve Harvey event where he dramatically smashed a Steve Harvey head made of Legos which seemed totally off-script or maybe not, it looks like he will be a perfect fit for WWE providing a lot of entertainment and I think this is a great deal for wrestling fans.
In addition to his work as an NFL sports commentator for Fox, Gronkowski also has partnered with Abacus Health Products, Inc. claiming that the Cannabis products helped him greatly healing from injuries he sustained during his NFL career. He is Abacus Health, Inc’s official spokesperson. According to the wrap.com “WWE SmackDown” airs Friday nights on Fox from 8 p.m. ET to 10 p.m. ET. Looks like retirement is keeping Rob Gronkowski a busy boy!
