Hotdog Recall Due to Shards of Metal Found in Packaging
According to NYPost.com, More than 210,000 pounds of hot dogs, including Nathan’s, are being pulled from store shelves due to shards of metal found in the packaging. YIKES.
The recall includes:
- 14 oz packages of "Nathan’s Skinless 8 Beef Franks” with expiration date of Aug. 19, 2017
- 16 oz packages of “Curtis Beef Master Beef Franks” with a use-by-date of June 15, 2017
Authorities say no one has been injured by consuming this metal tainted meat but if you purchased one of the items above it is highly encouraged that you trash them or bring them to the store for a refund.
It's a good thing that this is all being taken care of before Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating championship in Coney Island on July 4. This could really put a damper on that event.
