I Love the Retro Trend
When I was in Portsmouth yesterday, I saw a ten year old with an Atari shirt on. Y'know, the game system that peaked a quarter of a century before he was born? I love it.
Same goes for the new Mr. Peabody and Sherman movie-- although sometimes the retro is so retro as to be new. My wife being a little bit younger than me had never seen Rocky & Bullwinkle, and by association had no idea who Mr. Peabody was and thought he was a bit of a rip-off of Brian Griffin. In a society that seems to be in a perpetual rush for the next big thing, I'm glad its fashionable to have a nod towards the past.
