Construction is Apparently Maine’s ‘Happiest’ Industry to Work in
Okay, so it's like living out a childhood dream, but with a paycheck. It's like building a Lego building, but with real materials. On a real note, though, this statement made by abcindianakentucky.org makes a lot of sense if you apply it to the state of Maine:
Employees are unhappier than ever across all industries, according to new research. And yet construction workers are, perhaps surprisingly, the happiest in any major industry in the US.
Mainers love a good blue-collar working man, and men love to be good blue-collar workers. They brag about it, but also genuinely enjoy it. I'll be honest. As a chick, we LOVE blue-collar men. They're tan, jacked, and they're never gonna cheat because they have a whole building to build.
Anyways, how did abcindianakentucky come up with their findings, you ask? Well, according to their website, a new report by a software provider called BambooHr polled construction worker's moods from month to month. As it turns out, their moods are not only the happiest out of most professions, but also the least "volatile". I'm assuming that's because men in construction just get to be men, pick things up and put them down, and get their anger out by moving things around. I'm no scientist, but it's the purpose of a break room.
