‘Aquaman’ Star Jason Momoa Splashes Into Boston and Market Basket Danvers, Massachusetts
All the hoopla about Jason Momoa is real. Just ask any "Game of Thrones" or "Aquaman" fan.
Pandemonium was happening at the Danvers, Massachusetts, Market Basket where Momoa was or a couple of hours, promoting his vodka, Meili Vodka (pronounced MAY-lee), on September 10.
The Danvers Market Basket Spirits Shop was one of the first stores in Massachusetts to carry his vodka, according to boston.com. Momoa is partners with long-time friend Blaine Halvorsen, founder of Made Worn.
Following a whirlwind day of traveling on a Tuesday around Boston, they landed in Danvers, and then went back to Everett for a show with Jason's band, Oof Tatata, at Memoire at the Encore Casino.
According to meilivodka.com, the brand "represents the adventurer's heart, the purity of discovery, and the spirit of exploration. Every ingredient is purveyed with the utmost quality and character in mind. Handcrafted by friends, intent to be shared. Inspired by the journey - and those met along the way. Where will Meili take you?".
It sounds exotic, but we wouldn't expect any less.
What does the name Meili mean? It's from the Old Norse language, meaning "the lovely one", and the brother of the god Thor, according to wikipedia.com.
While the website does not reveal any locations to buy this specialty vodka, there are many places in Massachusetts, so if you live North, you may have to come South a bit to find a bottle.
Good luck.
