Man Charged With Stealing $400 from Portsmouth Starbucks Counter
Finders keepers? Not so fast. According to Seacoastonline.com, a Newmarket man has been charged with allegedly stealing around $400 off the counter of a Starbucks in Portsmouth. The money belonged to another customer who had taken the money (yes, $400 cash) out of his pocket to pay for a coffee. Likely a point not lost on those who joke about Starbucks being too expensive. He then left the money behind while went to a window seat.
Video footage showed 25 year old Tyler Jeffery in line, taking cash, and leaving the store. For those who are already in a mental game of the show "What Would You Do," note that Jeffery was later arrested, released on $1,000 bail, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth on January 2nd.
