Shooter in Austin, TX died
Police in Austin, Texas, say a gunman who shot at several downtown buildings and prompted the evacuation of police headquarters has been killed in what police are calling an officer-involved shooting. Police say the gunman targeted "multiple downtown buildings" before dawn. The incident led to part of Interstate 35 through downtown Austin being closed as officers tried to secure the scene.
Scores still without power in New England
Well over one-hundred thousand electric customers were still without power this morning, following the storm that rolled in Wednesday. Many families had to improvise their Thanksgiving dinner plans due to no power. Utility crews from various states as well as Canada made their way to New Hampshire to assist with restoring power.
Police involved shooting in Henniker
State Attorney General Joseph Foster is investigating a police-involved shooting. Authorities say a Henniker police officer shot and wounded a robbery suspect Wednesday. The suspect, 19-year-old Aaron Cadman, was taken to a hospital. His injury does not appear to be life-threatening. The officer wasn't hurt.
