My Christmas Traditions: #6 Homemade Candy

(Dover, NH) - Making candy is not all that hard, and it's always nice to give a gift that you made yourself.

I have to admit that I personally don't like these caramel turtles, but people love getting them as gifts.

The ingredients are caramel cut into small squares, whole walnuts and melted chocolate. The assembly is simple and the results are pretty cool.

This batch was not mine. A group of "elves" was in my kitchen last week making their turtles that are going out in the mail today.  I will be making my candies, including some soft center and bark, this week.
