New Hampshire is the Third Best State to Live in the USA, Study Shows

One of the greatest parts about living in the United States is that you can move.

Yes, that is obvious, but it seriously is such an underrated and under-appreciated part of our country.

You can move from New England, where you get four full seasons, to Florida, where there is essentially just one.

Don't like the taxes in Washington and Hawaii? Move to New Hampshire or Delaware.

Plus, the landscape across the United States is wildly different. You want mountains? Go to Colorado. You want a city? Head to New York. There's more land and flat spaces; we got those states too!

With a variety of places and different lifestyles and laws that come with each state, you can move to whatever state you see is the best. Again, an under-appreciated and underutilized aspect of the US.

Not all states are created equally, since they are all self-governed. So, some states are "better" or "worse" to live in.

Although it's perhaps a biased question, WalletHub attempted to find the best states to live in using 51 key indicators of livability, according to their article. "They range from housing costs and income growth to the education rate and quality of hospitals."

The results:

Massachusetts was the #1 state to live in the United States.

Massachusetts had the highest percentage of insured people in the state, and the state was also tied for the fifth least hours worked per week – a huge perk.

New Hampshire also shined, coming in as the third-best state to live in.
