NH Prison Chef Charged With Drug Smuggling
(Berlin, NH) - Authorities have charged an employee at the Northern Correctional Facility in Berlin with bringing drugs into the prison.
49 year old Charles Hanson works as a chef at the prison. State officials say Hanson attempted to bring a large amount of controlled drugs to inmates. The prison value of the drugs is estimated to be in excess of $67,000.
Hanson was charged with Delivery of Articles to Prisoners, a Class B Felony.
Other arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
