No Lions…No Tigers..But There Are Bears!
It's time to take down your bird feeders before they become bear feeders.
New Hampshire Fish & Game officials say that bears are starting to become more active as spring has arrived, so homeowners are urged to become pro-active and bring in bird feeders and other backyard attractions.
Officials say we should not wait until after the first visit by a bear, because one they get that free meal at your home, they will come back looking for more.
Statistics show that bird feeders typically are the direct cause of 25% of the incidents when bear-human conflicts are more abundant.
