The Farmers' Almanac has released their extended forecast, and this winter is expected to be a beast.

What do farmers think? It's going to be COLD!

According to the 2020 edition of the Farmers' Almanac, a “Polar Coaster Winter” is predicted that will make for plenty of freezing temperatures and snowfall in New Hampshire this season.

Frigid temps as low as negative 40 are expected in some areas of the country during January, bucking the usual January thaw.

January is expected to bring plentiful snow as well.

According to the Farmers' Almanac, during the first week of the month, and also around the middle (12th-15th), New Hampshire could see “copious amounts of snow, rain, sleet and ice.”

A storm system moving through the U.S. could also cause temperatures to “plummet and drag the coldest Arctic air across the rest of the country into the beginning of February.”

YIKES!

However, if you're on the winter hate squad, not all is lost. Apparently the NOAA isn't in agreement.

Perhaps this does the best job of summing up the upcoming winter season.
