Portsmouth Man Faces Multiple Charges In Stolen Gun Case
(Portsmouth, NH) - A Portsmouth man is being held on $25-thousand cash bail after his arrest Thursday morning.
Police responded to the Dunkin Donuts on Islington Street around 6:30 Thursday morning for a report of a male subject with a firearm.
Police located 34 year old Travis Cross in the restaurant, and found a loaded handgun in his waistband. Cross was charged with Disorderly Conduct and being a Felon In Possession of a Deadly Weapon.
It was later learned that the gun had been stolen earlier that morning from a vehicle, one of several vehicles that had been broken into. Cross was also charged with Recieving Stolen Property.
Police are also checking reports from the Barberry Lane area of possible gunshots being heard yesterday morning.
Cross is scheduled to be arraigned today in Portsmouth District Court.
