Salads And Wraps Recalled Across New England Because Of Parasites
Salads and wraps are supposed to be healthy lunch options. Unless they're full of parasites! And that seems to be the problem with salads and wraps sold at Trader Joe's and Walgreens, according to WMTW-TV.
The report says the parasite; cyclospora cayetanensis, causes stomach cramps, nausea, fatigue, body aches and diarrhea. Usually, symptoms occur about a week after consumption.
WMTW claims romaine lettuce appears to be the culprit. Federal authorities say the items exposed to contamination were beef, pork and poultry salad and wraps.
