Salute To Seniors: This Senior Is Devoted To Veterans.

WOKQ is teaming up with American Senior Magazine to salute the seniors in Maine and New Hampshire.

Each week, we're highlighting a senior who played a part of making New England such a great place to live. The featured senior will receive a $50 gift card to use at an area mall, and a one year subscription to American Senior magazine!

Nominate a special senior in your life to tell their story. If chosen, they'll be invited to WOKQ to be interviewed for an upcoming commercial. And they'll also be invited to a lunch here at Townsquare Media, honoring all of the seniors we're saluting.

This week, WOKQ honors Dotty Matson.

Here's what her friend Pam says about Dotty:

Dotty is the woman that does everything for her Veterans. All her time is given to help raise money or items to send to the troops. She does Penny Socials, Baffle raffles and so much more. I have been learning from her, and I hope one day I will have half the passion that she holds. She is always there for her friends with a smile and an ear to listen. Dotty is my hero. Veterans are blessed to have her fighting for them and there families.
