Curling Better Be Ready at Sochi

We've heard a lot about how Sochi isn't ready but the curling facilities darn well better be. I have no idea why curling becomes so popular every four years-- who outside of Canada watches it outside of the Olympics? But count me among those who could watch three straight hours of curling during the Winter Games. In fact, I recently geeked out a little by visiting the curling page on Wikipedia to reacquaint myself with the terminology-- I'd highly recommend it if you've forgotten what the button, pick up, and hammer are all about. One of these days I'll need to get in touch with the Merrimack Valley Curling Club (who knew!?) for a lesson, because playing the sport looks like it would be a whole bunch of fun. For now, I'll settle in on the couch and hope the Unites States gets a double take out and lands one on the button.
