Stupid and Extremely Crazy Laws You Didn’t Know About in New Hampshire
New Hampshire Has Some Crazy Laws on the Books
I was surfing the internet and I fell down another rabbit hole of crazy laws still on the books in several states. There are some crazy ones still on the books in the Granite State. According to Stupidlaws.com, did you know it is illegal to inhale the fumes of a bus with the intent of inducing euphoria? Well, that wasn’t even on my list of things to do so I think I am safe.
Don’t Pick the Seaweed Off the Beach at Night
Okay, this one really surprised me, and I had to delve deep to find out if it was really true. Under New Hampshire Title XVIII Fish and Game, Chapter 207 Collecting Seaweed at night is a violation of the law. I’m not kidding. Why is this even a thing?
Don’t litter, but don’t go cleaning our national forests without a permit
Did you know there is a fine for picking up litter and hauling away trash according to stupidlaws.com? The report “If a person is caught raking the beaches, picking up litter, hauling away trash, building a bench for the park, or any other kind things without a permit he/she may be fined $150.” I bet the fine for dumping trash in the forest is larger. At first, I didn’t understand this one, but we can’t all be building benches in the forest. That and if you think hauling away dead trees is picking up trash, well, you ruin the ecosystem and that management is better left to the forest rangers and Fish and Game. You can find some interesting laws on stupidlaws.com.
