Thanks to Timberland, Portsmouth and Dover Areas Are Improving
Local play areas are improving, thanks to a local company.
According to patch.com/new-hampshire/portsmouth-nh/, Timberland is cleaning up local play areas in Portsmouth and Dover.
What an incredible company. Timberland pays its employees to take a day to do community service, and the Dover community is definitely seeing benefits.
Timberland employees have been working hard with a focus on outdoor play areas. The news source reported that 300 Timberland employees are building an outdoor classroom at Dondero School including log tables, climbing, and an amphitheater!
I would have loved an outdoor classroom when I was a kid. It's tough concentrating when the weather is awesome outside.
Also included in the cleanup projects were grounds and bench painting around Betty's Dream in Portsmouth, Patch stated. Betty's Dream Foundation provides housing for physically handicapped adults.
Serious props to Timberland for paying their employees to help the community. It's one thing to donate money, which they could do, but pay their employees who do the hard work.
They call it their "Path to Service Project." What an awesome thing Timberland is doing.
