These Southern New Hampshire Turtles Aren’t Practicing Social Distancing
One positive thing we can draw from this pandemic is it is giving us the opportunity to slow down and appreciate nature and all of it's bounty. Under ordinary circumstances we might be too busy to take long walks outside and notice the beauty that surrounds us. But there is a lot of it! Plus spending just 30 minutes outdoors a day can significantly boost your mood.
Raymonde Marie Lacasse took to the U local New Hampshire Facebook page to share this amazing moment captured in nature! These turtles seem to be having a family reunion on a log in Southern New Hampshire.
How cute are they?! They don't appear to be practicing social distancing but we forgive them. So what kind of turtles are they? I'm so glad you asked! According to a comment by James Mazzuchelli (who appears to know his turtles) There might be 2 or 3 Blanding's Turtles towards the top of that log and the rest are (very common) painted turtles.
Thank you, Raymonde for sharing this photo and thank you for all of the awesome comments that made me giggle. Here are a few of my favorites:
Jeff Hussey: I have heard of having all your ducks in a row but turtles in a row simply awesome
Cherie Poirier: 🎶🎵🎶We are FAM-ILY🎶🎵🎶, I got all my sisters and me🎶🎶🎵
Dan Millbauer: Uh oh. Looks like they’re lining up to attack.
Ray Grew: But, are they “turtley enough for the Turtle Club”?
