They’re Having A Blast In Dover…1 Each Day For A Month!
(Dover, NH) - Crews have begun the task of blasting away the ledge along River Street.
There is only one blast per day between 11 am and 1 pm weekdays, now through March 15th. The blasts are not loud, but area residents may feel the ground shake.
The ledge is being hauled away from the site, some of it being used in the Spaulding Turnpike widening project.
In all, 3.7 acres of ledge will be excavated to street level. A total of 12 acres along the waterfront will be developed into housing and commercial space.
